Why is it inviting to have the fox guard the henhouse? Although a really popular Brazilian government could actually be able to maintain a balance between collaborating militarily with the U.S. and keeping the integrity of the country's future, it is now more questionable as, say, the PSDB.


Even a truly popular Brazilian government risks a military collaboration with the U.S. which now seems to me to outweigh the benefits. This is given the fact that an Obama administration in all probability sooner or later will be replaced by one that more closely matches the historical U.S.factors, in other words, a kind of neocon government. Also you never know what kind of government or economic interests that will be possible to give the cards in Brazil.

The U.S. is decidedly in a phase of political and economic decay. When one sees the U.S. as an absolutely invincible world power a great error is being committed. In analysis, those that only see the greatest military power forget to take into account the colossus is sustained on clay feet, namely: - [1]

The American economic decline relative to the emergent powers,and the great de-industrialization and financialization of the American economy. [2] Here too, the precarious situation of the dollar as reserve currency for international economic transactions adds to the vulnerability of countries "supporting the super-power," one of the foundations of American power on beside military force. The strong U.S. military predominance in the world is unfortunately supported by the power of the international media that is essentially in the hands of Americans preventing an awareness of the problem by the world's population. [4] U.S. military strength, even though relying on the push by the international media, is also accompanied by the great economic weakness in the U.S.. An eventual recovery, judging by the probabilities is not to be counted on, or be credited with confidence. The astronomical debts of the country and the relations of these with the American gross domestic product - GDP - discourage such an optimistic judgement.


The great emerging economic potentials in many current cases de-facto and of strategic importance in the global economy has surpassed by far in terms of markets and U.S. industrial production. The big emerging powers also join older ones that have never reached a place in the sun for themselves in the historical and global political situation, keeping in the shadow of the colossus with clay feet. The Colossus that today threatens them with suffocation if not with smashing itself with its final fall, taking them and those who associate with them to a last glimpse of power and dominance.



The weaknesses endemic North American also can highlight the following equation: x 5% = 20% followed by the comprehensive set of 50%. If we add an equation y we will find the exact reason for North American military interests in Latin America, that not for one minute do I believe is a remedy for the will to fight: [6] transnational terrorism, narcotics trafficking, the laundering and counterfeiting money or natural disasters that ultimately can always be used, as they did in theory and practice to move their financial interests off.

Fighting radical social movemente and massive migration seems to me to be a good reason to justify the US military presence in Latin America. This, apart from the natural strategic interests linked to access to potable water and other necessary goods required in emergency situations, as per point 6.

A central point to be emphasized is that in the situation above aspects such as combating transnational terrorism, drug trafficking and related, should be within an area of police powers, which in its transnational aspects should be solved through agreements of mutual cooperation among Latin American countries.

Calling U.S. military personnel to solve law enforcement problems throughout Latin America, where they would have on account access to call centers for strategic mobility with the possible use of decisive force in wars with lightning quick mobilization [6] it is, in my opinion, like asking the fox to take over the henhouse. I will not cry when you have not even a hen to tell the story of how it happened.

Already in advance one can conclude that the paradox of U.S. foreign military expansion while in the process of internal economic deterioration would not help the situation in the case studied above, that is a broader military cooperation with the U.S.. Solutions? In addition to solidifying a political position compatible with the exercise of legitimate socio-economic interests in Brazil by conscious popular vote, wait and watch developments in anticipation of them when needed, a very active and far-sighted limiting of the privileges offered to them before they keep our hands and feet tied.

Nostradamus Predicted World War III for 2010

According to astrologists and prophets, the next year of the Yellow Metal Tiger will not be easy. Researchers of Nostradamus’s predictions talk about some mysterious Virgin whose death is wanted and about the appearance of some “heartless, blood-thirsty” leader who will rule with “sword and fire.” Pavel Globa, a famous Russian astrologist, thinks that the year will be easier for Russians, but Europe and the USA can expect another economic downturn.

Researchers of Nostradamus believe that his predictions for the year 2010 can be found in X quatrain of X century.

The passage speaks about some mysterious Virgin, whose death is wanted, problems with trade, and appearance of some “heartless, blood-thirsty” leader who will rile with “sword and fire.” There is also a mentioning of “Satan’s arch of fury.” Interpreters think that it might be a ballistic missile.

Famous Nostradamus specialists think that his quatrains contain the following information for 2010:

- Possibly, World War III will start in November, and bacteriological and chemical weapons will be used.

- There will be conflict between Western Europe and the USA.

- There will be conflict between Great Britain and France.

- There is a possibility of armed military conflict on the Crimean peninsula.

- Europe will suffer an economic downturn.

- There will be a catastrophe in the Black Sea involving sulphuretted hydrogen.

Will the financial crisis end?

One of the famous astrologists predicted that economic problems in 2010 will grow. Many large companies will declare bankruptcy. This will cause hunger, religious and ethnical conflicts, and ecological problems. Global warming will greatly damage agriculture. An armed conflict is possible in Central Asia.

Russian “prophet” Pavel Globa believes that the year will be easier for Russians, while Europe and the USA can expect another economic downturn. This will happen because Russian officials will change their financial policy.

In September, predictions of a psychic named Ekaterina were spread on Russian websites. The predictions were as follows:

The majority of predictors are inclined to believe that although years of the Tiger can be tough, they bring about many changes that are necessary to move forward. Let’s hope this happens again.

Tobacco kills 15,000 Nepalis every year

As many as 15,000 people are estimated to die due to tobacco consumption in Nepal every year, according to a report issued here by Nepal Cancer Relief Society on Wednesday.

Due to the delay in ratification of the framework convention in tobacco control, the promotion of tobacco products hasbeen going unabated.

"Earlier, the ratification was delayed citing the lack of authentic legal body in the country. No efforts have been made on that front even after the formation of a new government and the revival of the House of Representative," president of the NCRS Diwakar Raj Karnikar said in the Report.

"The government should not make compromise on the matter as it concerns public health," he said.

According to WHO, concrete measure included in the treaty could help save. 200 million lives world wide by the year 2050, if a progressive 50 percent reduction in uptake consumption rates in achieved.

Many measures in the WHO and FCTC have deadline and clear guidelines. With the treaty is entry into force, countries have three years to enforce health warnings on tobacco products, and five years to implement comprehensive bans on tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship.

The Kathmandu Metropolitan Corporation has agreed to provide space for putting hoardings against smoking and tobacco consumption in 10 major places of the valley.

According to the WHO, 85 percent of liver cancer is caused by smoking. Globally, 5 million people die of smoking every year.

Husband and Wife Rape Their Daughter for Two Years

The police of St. Petersburg complete the preliminary investigation on the case of a family of pedophiles. A married couple abused their own daughter on their mutual consent for two years. The woman’s husband had been raping his step daughter and offering her to other pedophiles. The woman said that she agreed for all that to preserve her family


The man, a 44-year-old driver Nikolai Yeroshevich, and his common-law 36-year-old wife, named only as Natalia, had been abusing their daughter for two years after the girl turned 15, Fontanka.ru reports.

The man started having an intimate relationship with the woman’s daughter Olesya after the girl’s mother split with her father and came to live with Nikolai Yeroshevich. One day the woman found a nude picture of her daughter in Nikolai’s cell phone and asked him for an explanation. The family scandal had a bizarre ending: the man said that he wanted to sleep with both of them, otherwise he would leave.

When interrogated, the woman told the police that she had fallen in love with Nikolai and did not want to lose him. She talked to her daughter in an attempt to make the girl keep their new family alive. The woman told the girl that many families live like that, and the girl eventually agreed to have sexual contacts with her step-father.

Olesya started sleeping with Nikolai on a regular basis. Her mother joined them afterwards. The pervert told the woman that he had to touch a young body to be able to fulfill his bedroom duties. The intimate family relationship developed into sex orgies: the family couple took explicit pictures of each other and uploaded them on the internet.

The pervert parents made a whole gallery of their daughter’s pictures. Afterwards, they decided to offer the girl to someone else. Investigators found a lot of pornographic pictures and videos in their apartment.

Olesya realized the insanity of her situation in 2008. The girl tried to refuse from sex with her step-father, but she was forced to have sexual intercourses with the man again. The girl started drinking to escape from her terrible reality.

One day she came home drunk and said that she did not want to continue living like that. When the man came back home he said that she would have to sleep with him if she wanted to stay alive. The frightened girl grabbed a knife and stabbed herself in the stomach.

The wound was not serious: the girl was hospitalized but recovered in a week. When she returned home, Nikolai began to rape her again. Afterwards, the girl’s mother brought another man home and said that Olesya would have to sleep with him for money.

Olesya became pregnant with her step-father’s baby in March 2009. Her mother took her to a hospital for an abortion. Sexual violence did not stop afterwards, and the girl left her home in July 2009. She went to police two months later.

The police were so shocked with the girl’s story that they did not even believe her at first. A brief investigation showed that all of the girl’s words were true, and the couple of perverts was arrested.

Nikolai Yeroshevich and Natalia have been charged with 77 counts of child sex abuse.

“The girl was living in hell. She was convinced by her own mother that every family lives like that. The girl was morally and psychologically crushed, and she depended on her parents financially,” a lawyer said. “She had to have a lot of courage to come to the police and tell her story to other people,” the lawyer added.

A psychiatric examination revealed that Natalia and Nikolai were absolutely sane. The adults do not deny the charges, but say that they can not see anything criminal in their actions.

“I could not have sex life with my wife otherwise,” Yeroshevich told the police.

“I was madly in love with him and I wanted to preserve my family,” the woman said.

Nine-Year-Old Girl Gives Birth to Healthy Child in China

A shocking story took place in China. A nine-year-old girl gave birth to a healthy baby in Changchun Hospital in China’s northeastern province of Jilin. Doctors performed Cesarean section on the little mother after she started having contractions.


The medics of the hospital did not give any other comments to reporters. No wonder, because the subject of early pregnancy is tabooed in the communist country.

A correspondent of a local newspaper penetrated into the hospital twice in an attempt to see the young mother, but his efforts returned no result. He only managed to find out that the girl looked older for her nine years. Nothing is known about the details of the child’s pregnancy.

The police are trying to find the father of the girl’s child – they have already questioned the members of the young mother’s family. A sexual relationship with females under 14 years of age is considered a severe sex crime in China.

Statistics says that Chinese girls get pregnant and subsequently try to make an abortion a lot more frequently than it is believed. Chinese schoolgirls make about 30 percent of all abortions performed in the country. Female college students add another 20 percent to this number.

In 1910, a Chinese boy aged 9 and a Chinese girl aged 8 became the nation’s youngest parents ever. The youngest mother in the USSR was a six-year-old girl, who gave birth to a dead child in 1930. The little girl had been raped by her own grandfather.

In April of 2000, a Russian girl from the Rostov region gave birth to her child when she was eight. The child’s father was a 13-year-old boy.

The world record for ‘youngest mother’ belongs to Peru, where Lina Medina, aged only five, delivered a baby in 1939.

World War III Has Already Begun

World War III will start 100 years after the first one and will take lives of hundreds of millions of people, say experts. Some scientists think that the war is already going on, nareing the completion of its first stage.
Konstantin Sivkov, first VP of the Academy for Geopolitical Issues, developed a scientific concept of the reasons, stages and timeframes of World War II. He shared his forecast with Svobodnaya Pressa.
Sivkov believes that planet Earth has experienced a global, civilized crisis. The crisis was caused by several disproportions, namely: 1) conflicts between growth of production/consumption and available resources 2) conflicts between “poor” developing countries and “rich” industrially developed countries, between nations and transnational elite; 3) conflicts between spiritless free market with the power of money and spiritual roots of various civilizations, including Orthodox, Muslim, Buddhist and others.
“The analysis of possible solutions of these misbalances and conflicts shows that they are of antagonistic nature, and the crisis cannot be solved without significant infringement of interests of some large geopolitical subjects. This means that participation of military forces is unavoidable. Considering the global nature of the crisis, we may assume that military participation will be global as well, “Sivkov believes.
He predicts that World War III will be of coalitional nature. Countries will form coalitions based on their loyalty to one of the two models of world order.
The first model is “the world of civilized hierarchy.” Select few brutally exploit the rest of humanity. The second model is “civilized mutual support” or “civilized harmony.”
“In other words, the war will be waged to define the spiritual basis of new world order. It will either be based on individualism, selfishness and suppression, or community, domination of mutual interest to survive and develop and support each other. This is the main difference between the war to come and previous wars that were fought for economic redistribution.”
Two coalitions already exist. The first one is the alliance of the so-called industrially developed countries represented by Western civilizations. Spiritual foundations of this coalition are based on individualism and material possessions generating power of money. The coalition’s military and political core is represented by the block NATO. The second coalition involves countries of orthodox, Islamic and other civilizations based on the domination of spiritual over material. This coalition is interested in multipolar world order. Yet, these countries have not realized that they have mutual geopolitical interests, let alone a necessity in a political or military unity.
“The countries that are not a part of Western civilization are not ready for military confrontation neither in terms of organization nor technical preparedness. On the other hand, this coalition has overwhelming majority of people and control over ample natural resources and territories. This greatly increases their chances to win a long war and provides favorable circumstances for fighting the aggressor during the initial stages of war. Another potential advantage is that simultaneous attacks in all directions are practically impossible. This creates a reserve of time for consolidation of countries into an anti-imperialistic coalition. There is a possibility of supporting the countries that will become the first victims of aggressors,” Sivkov says.
The scientist is convinced that the war is already going on. So far it is in a relatively peaceful stage.
“The first stage that we may call an “attempt of peaceful crisis resolution” is nearing its completion. 20G summits fighting in the battle field right now are obviously not bringing the results. Imedi and Helsingin Sanomat provocations mark the beginning of stage two, that we may call a “threat period before the beginning of world war.” During this stage Western civilization has commenced preparation for local wars and armed conflicts for resources.
The main actions at this stage are information operations and actions in economic area that may take various forms, from economic sanctions to terrorist attacks against industrial facilities, as well as different activities of Special Forces,” says Sivkov.
“In a few years, the third stage will commence, the stage of “limited wars,” that will later turn into a full scale world war with all types of weapons.
The only restricting factor at the moment is Russia ’ s nuclear potential . According to the forecast of the scientist, the West will try to take away Russia’s nuclear shield.
“Considering the situation in Russia, when the fifth column of the West significantly affects decisions in Russia’s defense sector, in particular, the direction Russia’s armed forces will take, we can expect the form of SNF contract that will deprive Russia of its nuclear shield. Of course, it will be presented with a beautiful wrapping of struggle for the world without nuclear weapons.
Russia may expect physical elimination of its nuclear potential during first stages of the world war (organized terrorist attacks, etc.) with further transition of neo-imperialistic coalition to unlimited use of nuclear weapons, which will bring it victory in the war,” Sivkov stated.
He believes that aggressors will not be stopped with a possibility of death of hundreds of millions of people.
“History shows that the elite of “selfish” civilization do not get stopped by human sacrifices if there is a guarantee they themselves will survive in bunkers. The analysis shows that if the new world war is waged, it will touch the majority of the world population, all continents, oceans and seas. Over 100 million people may participate in this war. Total demographic losses may exceed several hundred millions of people. Therefore, all honest people on Earth, including those who form the “selfish” coalition must do everything they can not to allow it to happen. To do this, we have to mitigate with the force of law or other methods, the greed of transnational and national
Tycoons of the financial sector. We have to stop their ambitious, greedy, shameless and sometimes stupid politicians. This can only be done based on international consolidation efforts,” the expert summarized.

Gandhi as an Aandhi

The Great Communicator and Journalist.

A part from being a national leader and social reformer, Gandhi was a great communicator. More than any one else, he recognized that communication is the most effective tool to shape opinion and mobilize popular support. He was successful because he had a talent skill in communication that surfaced in South Africa where he had gone initially to set up practice as a lawyer. The practice of communication started by him in South Africa gave him the clue to rally millions of his countrymen when he returned to india.

Gandhi was associated with six journals, for two of which he was the editor. His first paper, 'Indian Opinion' was started in South Africa. In order to ventilate the grievances of indians and mobilize public opinion in thier favour, Gandhi started writing and giving interviews to newspapers, He focused on open letters and letters to Editor, but soon realized that occasional writings and the hospitally of newspapers were inadequate for the political campaign he had launched. He needed a mouthpiece to reach out to the people; so in June 1903 he launched Indian Opinion. It served the purpose of weekly newsletter which disseminated the news of the week among the Indian community. It became an important instrument of education. Through the columns of the newspaper Gandhi tried to educate the readers about sanitation, self-discipline and good citizenship. How important the journal was to Gandhi is seen from his own statement in his biography, My experiments with Truth:

"Indian Opinion... was a part of my life. Week after week i poured out my soul in its columns and expounded the principles and practice of satyagraha as I understood it. During ten years, that is until 1914, excepting the intervals of my enforced rest in prison there was hardly an issue of 'Indian Opinion' without an article from me. I cannot recall a word in these articles set down without thought or deliberation or word of conscious exaggeration, or anything merely to please. Indeed the journal became for me a training in self restraint and for friends a medium through which to keep in touch with my thoughts"

The critics found very little to which they could object. In fact, the tone of 'Indian Opinion' compelled the critics to put a curb on his palm.

Gandhi launched Satyagraha against the Rowlatt Act and the massacre in Jallianwala Bagh. He learnt in South Africa how important the press and public opinion could be in politics and had taught himself how to use the written word most effectively.

FREEDOM OF THE PRESS IS A PRECIOUS PRIVILEGE THAT NO COUNTRY CAN FORGO.

The two journals 'Young India' and 'Navjivan' were used by him to ventilate his views and to educated the public on Satyagraha. In 1933 Gandhi started Harijan, Harijanbandhu, Harijansevak in English, Gujarati and Hindi, respectively. These newspapers were the vehicles of his crusade against untouchability and poverty in rural areas. These papers published no advertisements even then they enjoyed wide circulation. His note of defiance and sacrifice gave a new stimulus to the evolution of press as a weapon of Satyagraha.
